‘Malfeasance From LMPD’: Scottie Scheffler Fans Retaliate as New Progress of Valhalla Arrest Case Hits the Internet

Amid the turmoil following Scottie Scheffler‘s arrest at Valhalla, the golfer has experienced a journey filled with ups and downs. At times, it even seemed like the case might turn against him, particularly with the recent viral audio depicting the interviewing officer somewhat coercing charges against him in an attempt to protect his colleague. As all these developments unfolded, anticipation grew for June 3rd, the day of Scheffler’s next hearing, where everyone awaited the final verdict. However, it seems that might not happen now!

It all started when Scheffler faced accusations of dragging a police officer while driving his car, potentially causing injury. The situation took a twist when it emerged that the arresting officer, Bryan Gillis, had not activated his body camera. As a result, the case progressed, with police Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel and Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg addressing the matter and setting the next court date for June 3rd.

However, in a surprising turn of events, there’s been an intriguing twist. Recently, a post from @terrymeiners on X revealed that “Charges against Scottie Scheffler will be dropped today. The agreement stipulates that both sides agree not to pursue any legal action related to the ramifications of the May 17 arrest.” Undoubtedly, it’s coming as a surprise for many, especially considering all the drama that unfolded in the last 10 days.

Although it might seem like good news for the golfer, as he won’t have to go through all the legal proceedings now and can peacefully focus on the game, the fans don’t want this to end. It’s evident in the comment section of the post, that most fans want Scheffler to pursue a case against the police officer who arrested him.

Fans want Scottie Scheffler to file case against LMPD

This fan outright stated, “Scottie should sue Louisville into the abyss,” emphasizing that the golfer should take legal action against the Louisville police considering all that has happened. The fan seemed to emphasize the havoc that the LMPD caused in the golfer’s life, and how they suddenly decided to drop the case.

Expressing similar views, another fan stated, “Scheffler should absolutely countersue that corrupt dept,” labeling the police department as “corrupt.” The fan might have been pointing out to the recent interview where the police officer failed to address the issue when the golfer revealed, “he didn’t say police get out of the car, he just hit me with his flashlight, and yelled get out of the car.” Instead, the police officer focused solely on the fact that the golfer didn’t stop the car. Considering all that this fan wants the golfer to take legal action.
