If there’s anything that disheartens tennis fans, it’s a potential injury scare.

Carlos Alcaraz has reassured fans after a minor leg issue during his victory against Tallon Griekspoor at the Paris Olympics. The Spanish tennis star advanced to the last 16 with a 6-1, 7-6 win, despite requiring off-court treatment for his right leg.

Alcaraz downplayed the injury, stating it’s just part of a tennis player’s life and confirmed he would compete in doubles with Rafael Nadal. The World No. 3 expressed satisfaction with his performance, especially after saving a set point. Alcaraz and Nadal will take to the Roland Garros clay courts for their second-round doubles contest on Tuesday, July 30.
