Amanda Balionis, now a seasoned sports reporter, recently revealed the unforgettable nerves she felt during her first sit-down interview with golf legend Tiger Woods early in her career. Speaking to *Links Magazine*, Balionis recounted how the encounter left her visibly shaking, making it clear that Woods’ aura is as intimidating as his record on the course.

“When I started with PGATour.com, Tiger was my second-ever sit-down interview,” Balionis shared. “I’m very thankful the camera angle was from the waist up; my legs were shaking uncontrollably from nervousness. I lost a lot of sleep before that interview.”

Balionis, who has since become a staple in golf reporting for CBS, reflected on other memorable moments in her career, including an emotional interview with Dustin Johnson after his 2020 Masters win and overseeing Phil Mickelson’s historic 2021 PGA Championship victory.

As the 2024 golf season concludes, Balionis is shifting gears to cover the NFL for CBS during golf’s offseason. Expressing her gratitude for the journey so far, she wrote on Instagram, “This year had it all… It’s an honor to be a small part of a tremendous team that brings these moments and stories to life each weekend.”

From the greens to the gridiron, Balionis continues to make her mark in sports journalism, but her early encounter with Tiger Woods remains a defining moment in her career.
