The TGL’s recent launch at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens was a hit, with both fans and players enjoying the high-energy event despite a lopsided scoreline. Meanwhile, LIV Golf faced backlash after re-signing Branden Grace and Bubba Watson, both previously relegated from the circuit.

Shipnuck, who has long been critical of LIV’s approach and Phil Mickelson’s involvement, didn’t hold back. He called LIV’s decision to bring back dropped players “utterly unserious,” especially as the league struggles to maintain credibility against the PGA Tour.

However, a closer look at Grace’s LIV track record reveals a more complex story. The South African golfer was a top contender in 2022 and 2023, securing multiple podium finishes before slipping in 2024. Perhaps his comeback isn’t as unreasonable as it seems.
