Emma Raducanu’s Hidden Talents Revealed in Intimate Bedroom Performance

Fans of the young tennis star will have been delighted with a casual display of one Emma’s old hobbies – and of her bedroom at home

The darling of British tennis, Emma Raducanu, has been seen showing off her piano skills in her childhood bedroom. The 21-year-old shot to fame with her 2021 US Open win, in which she became the first British player to win the American slam in 44 years.

Her win, which captured hearts and minds around the globe propelled her to heady stardom. All of a sudden she was the hottest property for all the world’s top couture brands. She secured an invitation to the Met Gala, a campaign as the face of Dior Beauty and a Tiffany & Co collaboration.

Emma’s tennis playing fortunes have been mixed since the famous grand slam win, but she has had to compete with a number of serious injuries. She was forced to take an eight-month break from tennis playing after undergoing three surgeries and has been hampered by more minor issues since then.

However, her star now seems to be in the ascendant on the court again after she helped GB into the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, pushing past France’s Diane Parry to secure the spot for her home team.

This week, Emma gave her Instagram followers a peek inside her childhood bedroom, in a more vulnerable moment, as she shared a video of herself playing the piano. Her bedroom was a neat and modestly decorated space, probably typical of a young British woman of her age. She had a wrought iron bed, with a classic film poster for the Audrey Hepburn film ‘Roman Holiday’ above the bed and a number of other picture frames, complete with pastel-hued pieces of art.

In a pink t-shirt, Emma played a short, melancholy piece on the piano, revealing her hidden musical talent to her 2.4 million followers. It is understood that during her recovery from her surgery, Emma spent much of her time relaxing at home with her family. It must feel quite a stark contrast to the usual glamour of the tennis tour. She captioned the video, ‘Been a while’. No doubt, she has been busy!

Emma has also been known to paint, revealing elaborate home painting set ups on her Instagram. The insight into her low-key living space no doubt excited fans who have carefully watched her meteoric rise in the tennis world. She is reportedly now worth £10m.

Fans of the young star will have been pleased to see her pull off Saturday’s superb victory with notable grit against an experienced French opponent. Emma Raducanu continues to inspire young tennis players across the country with her humility and her obvious determination – especially in coming back from injury after such an explosively successful start to her career.
