While fans were quite disappointed to see the Italian lose this quickly, little did they know that her Miami Open presence would be marked as the last time she appeared on the court as a professional tennis player.

According to the picture, Italy’s Camila Giorgi appears to be marked as retired on the official website, with 7th May registered as her last day as a professional. While there was no word from the WTA star about signing out from her career, the silent farewell came out to be shocking for the fans.


A fan expressed his sadness by remembering Giorgi as, “the player with some of the best kits on the WTA.”
“EXCUSE ME?” wrote another fan, finding it hard to believe the sudden update of her retirement.

Another fan came forward to express immense shock as he questioned, “Wait what”.
