In an exclusive interview, Stefanos Tsitsipas opened up about how he navigates the delicate balance between his professional tennis career and his relationship with fellow tennis star Paula Badosa. The Greek ace, an 11-time title winner, shared insights into their life both on and off the court as they prepare for Wimbledon.

Tsitsipas and Badosa, together for over a year, faced a setback last year when Badosa’s back injury forced them to withdraw from the mixed doubles event at Wimbledon. Despite the challenges, the couple has found ways to support each other, blending their shared passion for tennis with personal interests.

“It’s kind of well-balanced, I would say,” Tsitsipas remarked. “We talk about tennis as a normal – I mean, that’s our job at the end of the day. But we have other interests away from tennis too, and that keeps us pretty sane.”

The couple’s journey has seen its ups and downs, including a brief split earlier this year. However, they reunited soon after and have since focused on maintaining a private, low-profile relationship. Tsitsipas highlighted how their shared activities, like a newfound interest in pottery, help them unwind and connect beyond the sport.

“During our short vacation after Roland Garros, we went to Greece and started getting into pottery. It’s something we never did before, and doing it together helps us see a different perspective of life,” Tsitsipas revealed.

Their relationship, once very public with joint Spotify playlists and frequent social media updates, has now taken a more private turn. Badosa expressed a desire to keep their personal life out of the spotlight, stating, “One of the things that we didn’t like is that it was very public, so now we want to keep things a little bit more on our own.”

Despite past setbacks, the couple remains hopeful about teaming up on the court. They had to withdraw from mixed doubles at the French Open due to scheduling conflicts, but fans are eager to see them join forces at Wimbledon this year.

As Wimbledon approaches, Tsitsipas and Badosa’s story is a testament to finding harmony between love and a demanding professional life. Their ability to balance their relationship with the rigors of top-level tennis continues to captivate and inspire fans worldwide.
