When it comes to making announcements, professional golfer Jordan Spieth knows how to deliver under pressure — but this time, it wasn’t about winning a tournament. It was about growing his family.
In a moment that has since melted hearts across the golf world, Jordan and his wife Annie shared the news of their second pregnancy in the most tender way possible — with their son Sammy.
According to sources close to the couple, Jordan wanted Sammy to be part of the special announcement. “We’re having another baby,” he told his three-year-old, gently placing a hand over Annie’s stomach. At first, little Sammy looked puzzled. But then came the sparkle in his eyes.
“Is the baby coming soon?” he asked, his tiny voice filled with curiosity and innocence. What followed was an unforgettable moment: Sammy hugged his mom tightly and began talking to her belly as if the baby could already hear him.
Spieth, known for his intense focus on the green, couldn’t hold back the emotion. “That moment was more precious than any trophy,” he later shared with friends.
The couple, who welcomed Sammy in November 2021, has kept their family life relatively private — but this sweet reveal offered a rare glimpse into their world, filled with love, laughter, and anticipation.
Despite the pressures of professional golf, Jordan has found grounding in family life. “Where golf was [my] life, I don’t think it’s necessarily a very healthy thing,” he said in 2024. “It just takes your mind off of things and puts it where it should be — in the moment of hanging out.”
Sammy Spieth, 3

Jordan and Annie welcomed their first child, Sammy Spieth, on November 14, 2021. He’s been a constant presence at his dad’s tournaments, even helping out as a mini caddie during family days at the Masters.
From wearing matching Longhorns gear to attending monster truck rallies, Sammy is a bundle of energy and joy. Jordan often credits time spent with Sammy as a source of calm and clarity during tough moments on tour.

Born on September 12, 2023, Sophie arrived just as Jordan opted out of a Ryder Cup scouting trip to be with Annie for her birth. Sophie made her debut at the 2024 Par 3 Contest and returned this year wearing a green bow and pink sneakers, stealing hearts on the Augusta greens.
She’s already becoming a familiar sight at tournaments and even joined her family at a Children’s Health event in December 2024, as part of the Spieth Family Foundation’s holiday outreach.
Baby No. 3 on the Way
The Spieths are expecting their third child in July 2025. Jordan revealed the news during a podcast in February, saying, “We have a third coming in July, so it’s busy.”

From emotional tournament victories to tree lightings and toddler tee shots, Jordan Spieth’s life off the course is as rich and inspiring as his career on it.
